Applies to heaters with a mechanical timer switch.
Problem description
-
New heater does not heat up after installation
- The timer makes a buzzing sound when turned on but the heater does not start heating.
-
Used heater is no longer heating
- The timer makes a buzzing sound when turned on but the heater does not start heating.
Solution
In most cases the problem is related to the overheat protector inside the heater. See instructions here: The heater does not heat up.
Please note that heaters equipped with a manual timer and thermostat do not function in cold conditions; therefore, they are not recommended to be installed in outdoor saunas that lack basic heating. Why doesn’t the heater work in cold conditions?
