About additional hot tub heater
The additional heater is designed to keep the water in an outdoor hot tub at a temperature suitable for bathing. The heater is used together with a traditional wood-burning heater.
Temperature adjustment range: 35-45 °C / 95-113 °F*
*Note! The temperature adjustment range depends on the hot tub type and how full the tub is.
Warning: The additional heater must be powered through a residual current device with a maximum release current of 30 mA. The device must not be used without a residual current device. Use without a residual current device can be fatal!
Using the heater
The heater can be used in three different ways
1. Electric only
2. Hybrid
3. Woodburning only (additional heater turned off)
Monitoring water temperature
Always stir the water before measuring the temperature.
The surface temperature of the water may rise above the set value if the water has not been stirred before measurement.
After stirring, the water temperature is usually between 36 and 38 degrees Celsius for a moment.
The hot tub is ready for use!
Troubleshooting
Problem description
- Overheat protector turns off the heater (green light does not light up when the power is on)
- Water gets too hot
- Water is not getting warm enough
Solution
- Reset the overheat protector. Always determine why the overheat protector went off before pressing the button!
- Make sure the heater is positioned completely horizontally (adjust the leg section). The use of a spirit level is required.
- Only use the water pipes and adapters supplied with the product when installing the heater. Different pipe diameters may affect the operation of the device by slowing down the water circulation. This may cause the overheating protector to trip.
- The surface temperature of the water can be as high as nearly 50 degrees Celsius when measured at the surface, unless the water is stirred before measurement.
